It's an issue with IE8 or its settings somewhere. Ie Not Connecting To Internet But Chrome Does For being such a big well known and used site you'd think it would be able to stay connected to the web. Remove them if so. See Get community support.

If you still have problems, follow the instructions in Troubleshoot Firefox issues caused by malware. You may have to get the new driver from the device website.
